One Island East
Completed in 2008, the One Island East Tower in Hong Kong's up-and-coming business district towers over many neighbouring buildings at a height of 308 metres and is one of the tallest structures in the region. With 28 high-speed lifts connecting 70 floors in seconds, the office complex sets standards in efficiency and comfort.
More than 400 automatic Gilgen Door Systems glass doors ensure barrier-free and secure access to the building, which impresses with its modern glass façade. The door systems were specially selected to meet high standards of design, reliability and energy efficiency – key aspects of modern high-rise architecture.
In addition to aesthetic advantages, automatic glass doors also offer practical added value: they enable convenient, touch-free access, increase safety through controlled opening mechanisms and contribute to energy savings by minimising air exchange.
The combination of functionality, safety and modern design makes the door systems an indispensable element for buildings with high public traffic such as the One Island East Tower.
