Supply chain & suppliers

Sustainable through cooperation and partnerships

We continuously promote the sustainability of products and solutions by combining economic success, social responsibility and environmental protection in our business activities, enabling our customers to meet the current and future needs of society.

Code of conduct
Code of conduct

The principles of our Code of Conduct are reflected in our long-term supplier collaborations and partnerships. The sustainability performance of our supply chains and thus the cooperation with our suppliers for their further development is important to us. Our Code of Conduct for Suppliers contains our expectations regarding their performance in the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance.

We implement the obligations set out in the Austalian Ordinance on Due Diligence and Transparency regarding Minerals and Metals from Conflict Areas and Child Labour (VSoTr), which defines the duty of care in the supply chain for imports and processing of minerals and metals from conflict and high-risk areas. To ensure fair working conditions in our international operations and supply chains, we comply with the requirements against modern slavery. The determination of the status of the supply chain and the introduction of a system for identifying and assessing risks along the supply chain is being implemented on an ongoing basis.

Local sourcing

Whenever possible, we pursue a multiple and local sourcing procurement strategy, which reduces supplier dependency and increases flexibility and availability. Gilgen has set itself the goal of entering into long-term collaborations and partnerships and continuously expanding its procurement base.
