The location in Melbourne expanded

The Australian location is on the rise: at the beginning of the year, our Australian sales partner Access Entry moved into a new, larger property as its headquarters in Melbourne. In September, a brand-new part of the new location was inaugurated there – namely the Gilgen Academy. At the training center, service technicians and customer service employees from all over Australia learn about Gilgen Door Systems products. Michael Higgins, Head of Technology and Service in Melbourne, describes the structure of the Academy's offerings: “We want to conduct training courses in small groups over a period of two days.” These include technical information on products as well as refresher courses within the company and with service representatives. The Australian location is on the rise: at the beginning of the year, our Australian sales partner Access Entry moved into a new, larger property as its headquarters in Melbourne. Sharing knowledge from Switzerland

Michael Higgins' enthusiasm for the Gilgen Academy was sparked by a visit to Switzerland: in 2018, a technical training and support team provided him with detailed training on Gilgen products. Michael Higgins still has fond memories of his two weeks at the Gilgen Academy in Schwarzenburg: “The support from the Swiss team enables me to pass on advice and knowledge within the company.” In addition, great relationships were formed at that time. Michael Higgins was inspired by his stay at Gilgen Switzerland and set himself the goal of offering the same to his Australian colleagues: “I look forward to creating a productive and motivated team and working environment.”

New location offers even more

The move to the new location provided the ideal opportunity to open the Australian Gilgen Academy. However, the reason for the move itself was a general need for more space. Access Entry has grown massively in the 20 years since its inception and has established various branches. So it was time to find a headquarters that could accommodate the 24 employees in Melbourne – which the new 1,200 square meter property does. The new warehouse and office space are larger, and there are more parking spaces available outside. After all, adequate working conditions are essential for Access Entry to live up to its philosophy of cost efficiency and exceptional service.
